For you and your dog

Moving abroad is already a big deal. Your dog shouldn't make it harder.

We built Wandertails after realising how fragmented and stressful pet relocation research can be: scattered across government portals, airline FAQs, and outdated forum posts. Your dog deserves to arrive safe and on schedule. We make sure you have everything in order, long before you get to the airport.

Frequently Asked

Common questions about pet travel

Which countries does Wandertails support?
We currently support Singapore and Canada, with more countries on the way. Every route is verified against official requirements before we add it. Let us know if you need one we haven't covered yet.
How far in advance should I start planning my pet's trip?
It depends on your destination. Some countries, like Japan and Hong Kong, require 6 months or more because rabies blood tests have mandatory waiting periods. Build your checklist and we'll show the earliest viable departure date for your exact route.
How do I get my pet travel checklist?
Enter your route, travel dates and pet's details on the homepage, and we instantly generate a personalised checklist. No account is needed to start. Create a free account to save your progress and pick it up on any device.
Will the checklist be free to use?
Yes, building your checklist and tracking your progress is always free, with relative timing for each step. Upgrade to Companion for exact calendar deadlines, multiple trips, document storage and reminders.
Can my pet travel in the cabin or do they need to go as cargo?
That depends on your airline, your pet's weight and breed, and your destination's rules. Your checklist shows cabin versus cargo eligibility so you know exactly what to book.
What if my pet is a snub-nosed (brachycephalic) breed?
Many airlines restrict snub-nosed breeds, such as Pugs, French Bulldogs and Persians, due to higher in-flight health risks. We flag breed restrictions in your checklist and suggest pet-friendly airline options where they exist.
What documents do I need at the airport?
Typically a health certificate, an import permit, vaccination records and microchip documentation, though the exact list varies by route. Your checklist lists every required document, when to obtain it, and how long it stays valid. Companion adds secure document storage so everything's ready when you need it.
What if pet travel requirements change after I plan?
Pet travel rules can change. We base every checklist on current published requirements and recommend verifying critical steps closer to departure. Companion automatically alerts you if a requirement changes, so nothing slips.
